Although I love the feel of coarse paper between my fingers as I go through a paper book, I also love digital books, more specifically, Wattpad books. Never heard of Wattpad? Wattpad is a free website and app, that lets people write or read books online. These books can be fanfiction, short stories, or novels that aspiring authors hope to one day get published.
These books have covers that the author uploads onto the site, and you can follow your favorite authors and see what they read and write. You can also comment and have conversations with people that like the same books, series, celebrities, music, and more. The books on Wattpad are usually published chapter by chapter, write after the author writes. One of the only downsides is that most of the works are not edited, so many grammatical mistakes can be found.
Wattpad gives people the opportunity to share their imagination with others around them who have the same interests. Saying this I feel like Katrina Meyer had the right idea when she said,
“A book is a magical thing that lets you travel to faraway places without ever moving from your chair”.
One of my favorite ongoing stories is Unconditionally- The Beginning of Revelation, by mAy_justimagine. This is a supernatural story that mainly focuses on werewolves, but it does have some characters of other races. The characters in this book are all very likeable, and I fell in love with them very quickly. The story is a little slow in the beginning, but things start escalating very quickly. There are a lot of characters, and if you get easily confused telling the difference between characters, then this is not the book for you, but if you can handle multiple characters, being introduced at the same time then you will be fine.
The author updates once every week, and the chapters are all really long. There are stories on Wattpad that appeal to all types of people, and many of them are really fun to read. It also displays many different writing styles that you can then go on to use yourself.
I am always looking for book recommendations!
